arts awards

I have been fortunate enough to have been left some money by my parents, Jean and Owen Jones, and I want to use some of it to support and encourage other artists. I am particularly interested in helping to fund projects which have travelling on foot at their heart and I would love to hear from any one who thinks, after seeing this website, that they might like to collaborate with me on a ‘journey’. Equally an individual artist might like to apply to me for a financial contribution towards their project. (This is not an offer to pay for fares to exotic places!)

More specifically I have also set up a collaboration with my son Max Burrows and his partner Gary Whitbread. This is the annual Wooda Arts Award which gives an artist the opportunity of a six-week residency in a spectacular studio on their farm in North Cornwall. The award is open to all solo or collaborative artists who have a strong commitment to experimentation. Applications usually have a deadline each October.
