joyce-tics 2005 these collages, ten altogether, came out of a winter Open Studio called material woman takes stock They are inspired by her reading of James Joyce’s Finnegan’s Wake and by an enormous clear-up in the studio on returning from the Looselink journey. They each feature a ceramic piece, a quote from the book, and a stick, a bag and a piece of string or thread to represent the requisites of travelling.
